What is a 3D painting ?
The work of a Johann Perathoner follows a long process in 10 steps, here are some explanations allowing you to understand how a work is made from A to Z.
All the works are unique pieces made entirely by hand. He realizes very few works to keep an important value and an impressive result
First locates, Johann Perathoner and documents the city he wants to create, he realizes after videos with his drone to find the best possible view

The artist then uses watercolor markers to color all the drawing
Then come the stage of color correction in Photoshop and printing on high quality paper that does not deteriorate over time
All the buildings are then cut out like a huge puzzle, specific materials (ceramic tile / mirror, gold leaf) are used on each building
To respect the perspective and give a specatular aspect, the painting is divided into several layers glued together
Hundreds of swarovski crystals and rhinestones are stuck on all the windows of the buildings
Areas are glittery / then use the glitter pen on each building and give a very bright appearance
The sky is entirely made in acrylic with gradients / On certain buildings, as the Chrysler in NYC is decorated with a gold square on its structure
For the table / city sculpture "view from above", each part is modeled in 3D on software / 3D printed and painted by hand
And finally, the framer creates a custom American box to put the painting inside
